Sao Paulo (Luanda)

São Paulo de Luanda , São Paulo for short , is a current district (bairro) of Luanda , the capital of Angola , in the Sambizanga district . It is the core area of ​​the city ​​of São Paulo da Assumção de Loanda , founded on January 25, 1576 by the Portuguese captain Paulo Dias de Novais , today only called Luanda.

He is known for its Mercado do São Paulo market. To the west, separated by Rua de António B. de Melo, the Bairro Operário connects, to the north the district is bounded by Rua de António Enes, to the east by Rua Soba Mandume and to the south by Rua Cónego Manuel das Neves.
