Sätra is an above-ground station on the Stockholm Metro . It is located in the Sätra district of the same name . The station is served by the Röda linjen of the Stockholm metro system . It is one of the less frequented stations on the underground network. On a normal working day, 3,000 commuters get on and off here.

The station was put into operation on May 16, 1965 as the 63rd station of the Tunnelbana, when the section of the Röda linjen between Örnsberg and Sätra was inaugurated. Until March 1, 1967, it was also the terminus of the T13 line, from then on the trains drove over the newly built section to the next station, Skärholmen . The platforms are above ground in an elevated position. The station is between the Bredäng and Skärholmen stations . It is around 9.5 km to Stockholm Central Station .
