Sævar Birgisson (born February 15, 1988 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic cross-country skier .

Sævar Birgisson took part in the Nordic World Ski Championships in Val di Fiemme in 2013 . He finished 91st in the sprint, 131st in the 15 km freestyle race and 30th in the team sprint.

At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Sævar Birgisson was one of five starters in Iceland. At the opening ceremony he carried the flag of his country. Sævar started in two races - in the sprint he finished 72nd in qualification and in the 15 km classic race he came 74th.
