Sênggê Zangbo ( Chinese 狮泉河 镇 , Pinyin Shīquánhé Zhēn ) is a large community in Gar County in the Ngari administrative district in the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China . Sênggê Zangbo is the seat of the Gar county government and the Ngari county government. The name of the place is both the Tibetan and Chinese official name of the upper reaches of the Indus . Sênggê Zangbo has an area of approx. 900 km² and over 10,000 inhabitants (2008).
