Søren Bo Søndergaard (born August 16, 1955 in Kyndby , Frederikssund ) is a Danish politician and former member of the European Parliament for Folkebevægelsen mod EU (German people's movement against the EU).

The trained shipbuilder is a member of the Trotskyist Socialistisk Arbejderparti , which has been on the unified list since 1989 . For the single list he sat in the Danish Folketing Parliament from 1994 to 2005 and for a short time on the Gladsaxe town council . He sat in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe . On January 1, 2007, he replaced Ole Krarup in the European Parliament . There he was a member of the Confederal Group of the European United Left . He was a member of the European party EU Democrats . On February 4, 2014, he resigned his European mandate, having previously announced that he would not run for parliament again in the 2014 European elections. His successor for the rest of the electoral term is Rina Ronja Kari .
