The Sørlle Rocks are a group of three up to 20 m high cliff rocks in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . They are 11 km west of Moreton Point , the western foothills of Coronation Island .
The Norwegian whaling captain Petter Sørlle (1884-1933) mapped them between 1912 and 1913 and named them profane as Tre Sten (Norwegian for three stones ). Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations carried out surveys in 1933 and named them after Sørlle.
