The Südpark is a landscape garden inaugurated in 2002 in the Berlin district of Rudow in the Neukölln district .

Location and history

The park is located in the southern part of Rudow and is bordered by the following streets: in the north by Käte-Frankental-Weg and Hiltrud-Dudek-Weg , in the west by Schönefelder Straße and in the east by Waltersdorfer Chaussee . The southern end of the Berlin Wall Trail forms the border with the state of Brandenburg .

The park was created in 2002 in connection with the construction of the adjacent garden city Rudow-Süd , in which the Frauenviertel and the north park are also located.

layout

In the western part of the park, the district had a green area created, which was loosened up with several boulders . The central element of the park is a rectangular area that has been planted with birch trees. In the middle of this area there is a climbing frame for children that is supposed to be reminiscent of a witch's house . This is followed in the eastern part by an open area designed with slight elevations and further boulders.
