The semi-detached house at Südstrasse 129 and 131 in Heilbronn is a listed building that was designed by the contractor Wilhelm Kuhnle himself and built in 1902.

The building is located on Südstrasse in the area of ​​Silcherplatz. From there the road leads west through the historic workers' quarter at Heilbronn Südbahnhof to the Rosenberg Bridge . Today the federal highway 293 runs on Südstraße . As part of a ring road projected by Reinhard Baumeister in the town plan from 1873 , but never completed, it forms an important traffic axis in Heilbronn.

From 1977 to 1981 the urban planning and urban development redeveloped the district.

history

In 1950 half of the house No. 129 belonged to the widow Hedwig Hopfensitz, No. 131 to the heirs of Wilhelm Grau. In 1961, No. 129 belonged to the widow Luise Hopfensitz, No. 131 to the electrician Hermann Kircher.

description

The workers' house built as a tenement house is decorated in a sophisticated Art Nouveau style. Plastic mask images and volutes can be found alongside geometric and neoclassical decorative patterns.
