Sülsdorf
Sülsdorf is a district of the community Selmsdorf and is located in the northwest of the district of Northwest Mecklenburg in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .
history
The first documented mention took place on April 10, 1285. Originally, the Angerdorf had 15 hooves . From 1648 - at the end of the Thirty Years War - the village had twelve farms, all of which were managed until the middle of the 20th century. In 2010 there are still nine farms, but they are no longer farmed.
There was a school in Sülsdorf since 1729, initially in an old-age group . A school building was built in 1735 and a new building was built in 1915. In 1968, school operations in Sülsdorf ceased and the students have been attending the school in Selmsdorf ever since. The former school buildings and a dairy built in 1908 are now residential buildings. In 1880 a pub was set up in a Büdnerei, which also included a general store. In 1896 a 15 meter high wooden observation tower was built near the restaurant. The tower was demolished in the 1930s, the restaurant closed in 1960, the store was as yet to 1978 consumption continued in the original premises.
An atonement stone made of Gotland limestone erected near today's B 105 on the exit to Teschow in 1398 is reminiscent of a medieval murder.
On July 1, 1950, the village lost its independence when it was incorporated into Selmsdorf. During the GDR era, Sülsdorf was within the restricted border area and was therefore subject to repression through the forced relocation of some farmers and a permit requirement. A dairy cattle facility was built north of the town center and was privatized after the fall of the Wall .
