Sōya Takahashi ( Japanese 高橋 壮 也 Takahashi Sōya ; born February 29, 1996 in Matsue ) is a Japanese football player .
Career
Takahashi learned to play soccer on the school team at Rissho University Shonan High School . He signed his first contract with Sanfrecce Hiroshima in 2014 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . For the club he completed 23 first division games. In July 2018 he was loaned to the second division club Fagiano Okayama . For the club, he completed four league games. In 2019 he returned to Sanfrecce Hiroshima. In August 2019, he moved to Sweden for AFC Eskilstuna . After a year, he signed a contract with the Swedish club Umeå FC in 2020 .
