The locomotives of the SŽD series ТГК2 (German transcription TGK2 ) of the Soviet Railways (SŽD) are diesel locomotives with diesel-hydraulic power transmission for shunting services. They were developed and manufactured in the Kaluga machine factory , and they are the further development of the SŽD series ТГК . The first locomotive of the series was delivered in 1960, and by 2008 more than 9,000 vehicles of this series and various modifications had been produced.
history
In parallel with the delivery of the two-axle diesel locomotive of the series ТГК , the Kaluga machine works developed a more powerful and powerful two-axle diesel locomotive, the delivery of which began in 1960. This locomotive was given the designation ТГК2 ( TGK2 , which means it is a diesel locomotive with hydraulic power transmission from the Kaluga machine factory, type 2). The new locomotive was designed for work on the tracks of industrial companies and as a shunting locomotive on railway stations, with a maximum trailer weight of 700 t on routes without gradients.
The delivery of the new locomotives was completed by 2008. In recent years the modernized version of the ТГК2M ( TGK2M ) series has been built, it differs from its predecessor in the increased power of the diesel engine and a greater mass of the locomotive. It also stands out due to its more contemporary design.
In addition to the locomotives for domestic use, an export version of the diesel locomotive was also made, which was given the designation ТГК2-Э ( TGK2-E ). On the one hand, 184 locomotives were delivered to the GDR as TGK 2-E 1 , 55 locomotives were delivered to what was then Czechoslovakia , and two locomotives were delivered to Poland .
Compared to the previous series ТГК , the box of the new locomotive has been reconstructed, the width has been reduced and coil springs were used as the spring suspension . The box structure in the form of fronts was attached to a sheet metal frame. The bushings of the wheel bearings were designed as roller bearings .
The original form of the diesel engine was a 6-cylinder four-stroke diesel engine with the designation У1Д6-250ТК ( U1D6-250TK ) with gas turbine charging from the production of the Sverdlovsk turbine factory . The transmission of the power from the diesel engine to the drive axles was realized via a hydrodynamic gear with the designation ГТК-II ( GTK-II ), a reversing gear in a two-stage housing, cardan shafts and the axle drives.
The driver's cab and the stems were a welded construction. The walls of the driver's cab and the porches were heat and sound insulated. The locomotive had the following auxiliary systems; the cooling system for the diesel engine with liquid cooling, the fuel system, the oil system, pneumatic systems for the brakes and auxiliary equipment, systems of electrical equipment as well as control and measuring devices and control devices. The diesel locomotive could be controlled from the right and left driver side.
As a brake, the diesel locomotive had a double-acting block brake with pneumatic control and manual operation. The locomotive had a driver's brake valve on the driver's cab to control the brake of the train unit .
The locomotive was equipped with light and sound signals, a preheater to warm up the cooling water before starting it in the cold season, a sandpit with pneumatic control, heating and ventilation in the machinist's cabin.
