The locomotive of the class ТЭМ3 (German transcription TEM3) of the Soviet Railways (SŽD) is a broad-gauge diesel locomotive , which was developed as a further development of the SŽD class ТЭМ2 . The locomotive is a special form of this series with bogies without pivot pins. The main features of this series are the same as those of the SŽD series ТЭМ2.

history

In 1979 the Brjansk locomotive factory created this version of the SŽD series ТЭМ2 , the main difference of which was the equipment with bogies without pivot pins. In 1980 the All-Russian Research Institute of Rail Transport carried out a comparative dynamic test of two diesel locomotives; the SŽD series ТЭМ2 with bogies with pivot pins and the ТЭМ3.001 with pivotless bogies. The bogies of the ТЭМ3.001 were designed as standard bogies for shunting locomotives based on the model of the Luhansk locomotive factory . The static deflection of the spring suspension of the diesel locomotive was 90 mm - 100 mm. The test showed that the locomotives with pivotless bogies had higher dynamic properties than those of the conventional design. In the years that followed, the Bryansk locomotive factory produced a number of locomotives that some railway companies received for operational testing.

In 1986, the work of the ТЭМ3M.001 ago, which at the international fair railway transport 86 in the station shcherbinka was issued. This series uses the same bogies as the ТЭМ3 and the same diesel engine generator unit as the TEM2M .

business

A total of 29 locomotives were manufactured. 20 of them were intended for the state railway of the former USSR . In March 2014, the stationing of the following locomotives on the state railways is known; The ТЭМ3s work in the Dno depot of the October Railway . 0009, 0016 and 0017; the depot Egorschino the Sverdlovsk Railway , the ТЭМ3.0014, 0015 and 0019 work; ТЭМ3.0003, 0010, 0011, 0012 and 0021 work in the Kaliningrad depot ; ТЭМ3.0022, 0023 and 0026 work in the Tynda depot ; in the depot Chwoinaja the October web, the ТЭМ3.0013 is discarded after an accident; and the ТЭМ3.0003 works for a private operator.
