The SBB Bm 6/6 is a six-axle, heavy diesel locomotive of the Swiss Federal Railways ( SBB ), built for shunting, auxiliary and work trains.

In 1954, four prototypes were initially put into service (numbers 1501 to 1504, later 18501 to 18504). Two slow-running Sulzer marine diesel engines each drove a generator and supplied the six DC traction motors with energy, while turbochargers brought the charge air to operating pressure. The fuel tank under the cab held 3000 liters. A train heater was not available.

In 1960/61 the ten series locomotives 18506 to 18515 were delivered. They received exhaust silencers on the roof and closed railings on the shunting platforms.

The locomotives, originally painted in oxide red, were painted fire red from 1984 and received the current SBB logo on the frame. From 1999 the locomotives were gradually scrapped. At the end of 2007 the locomotives 18505, 18511 and 18513 were still available; they were used, for example, for fire engines and rescue trains. Together with the SBB Bm 4/4 , the replacement by the more modern SBB Am 843 is planned.
