SCM - My 23 Slaves ( Japanese 奴隷 区 僕 と 23 人 の 奴隷 , Dorei-ku: Boku to 23-nin no Dorei ) is a manga series by Shinichi Okada and Hiroto Ōishi , which was published in Japan from 2012 to 2016. It has been adapted as a series of novels and as an anime television series.
content
The action revolves around the SCM, a device that is worn like braces and can make its wearer the slave or master of another wearer. An SCM duel, in which the porters can compete against each other, decides on the respective position. 24 people receive such a device and are drawn into this game for completely different reasons. The girl Eia Arakawa wants to test her ability to read other people. The student Yūga Ōta is curious and tries to protect himself with tricks in order not to become a slave himself. Others like Lucie Suginami use the SCM to get revenge on others.
Book publications
The manga was published from 2012 to 2016 in Action Comics magazine by Futabasha , which also published the chapters in 10 edited volumes. The volumes sold over 16,000 times each. A German version of Planet Manga was released from 2015 to September 2017 .
From 2013 several novels and series of novels on the manga appeared. This was initially Dorei-ku: Boku to 23-nin no Dorei by Shinichi Okada in four volumes. This was followed in 2014 by the novel Doreiku 2nd Shinjuku Kikō Kai and, since 2017, the series Dai Doreiku: Kimi to 1-Oku 3-Senban no Dorei . Since 2017, the new manga SCM - your 130 million slaves , created by the same duo, has been published, which has been published in German by Planet Manga since July 2018.
Anime series
A 12-part anime television series based on the manga was created at the TNK and Zero-G studios . Directed by Ryōichi Kuraya , who also wrote the script. The character design comes from Junji Goto . The series aired in Japan from April 12 to June 29, 2018 on BS11 , Tokyo MX and AT-X . The platform HIDIVE published an English dubbed version and Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese subtitled versions were published on other platforms.
