The SC Admira Dornbirn is an Austrian football club from the municipality of Dornbirn in Vorarlberg and was founded in 1946. The sports club played in the 1952/53 season in the Arlbergliga, a league of the then second Austrian division. The fighting team plays in the Vorarlberg League .
history
Before the SC Admira Dornbirn was founded, in 1946, there were many Dornbirn football clubs or sports clubs that had a football section: FC Dornbirn 1913 , football department of the gymnastics club Dornbirn , Sports Club Bündtlitten Dornbirn , football section of the Gymnastics Federation Dornbirn and German gymnastics and sports club Dornbirn The SC Admira Dornbirn was founded in 1946 and the players came from other or previous clubs. The Admira plays from 1948/49 in various Vorarlberg leagues. In the 1951/52 season they became champions in Vorarlberg and qualified for the Arlbergliga, stayed there for one season and played, not continuously, in the Vorarlberg regional league until 1980. with the introduction of the Regionalliga West they rose to this and took 6th place. With the Bundesliga reform in 1985, the club was relegated to the Vorarlbergliga. 1987 the Admiraner Meiser in Vorarlberg and rose to the Regionalliga West and stayed there until 1989. After many seasons in the Vorarlbergliga in 2007 they were relegated to the first division. In 2012, the Admirans made it to the regional league and have been playing in the Vorarlbergliga since 2013.
