The transmitter / receiver, mobile SEM 70 is one of the portable radios of the Bundeswehr , with hand (HW) with fixed frequencies can be operated or automatic channel selection (AKW) per frequency memory. The SEM 70 is usually carried in the carrier bag on the back.

The device can be operated in relay mode with a second SEM 70 and a relay point addition (RSZ 70) .
