The SFJ MB 4 railcar was procured from Sydfyenske Jernbaneselskab (SFJ) for operation on its Danish private railway lines .

history

In order to save on locomotive-driven trains, the company procured a four-axle railcar with two bogies in 1929 for passenger transport on its routes . The supplier was the Danish locomotive factory Scandia A / S in Randers . The vehicle had the serial number 2329 and was delivered in June 1929.

He was known as Kielervogne . With him, the drive system, which was supplied by Deutsche Werke Kiel (DWK), was suspended in a separate frame between the pivot pins to keep vibrations away from the car body.

Technical Equipment

The railcar had a gasoline engine and a mechanical four-speed gearbox. It was equipped with an air brake.

DSB MBF (II) 484

With the takeover of Sydfyenske Jernbaner on April 1, 1949 by Danske Statsbaner (DSB), their vehicles were transferred to the state railways for use. The railcar was given the series designation MBF (II) and the road number 484.

It was modernized at Scandia in 1949. It received a six-cylinder Hercules diesel engine, and a luggage compartment was built in, which reduced the number of seats. Then it was used from Fåborg until 1955, in 1958 it was retired as a railcar.

The decommissioning took place in 1966, in the same year the vehicle was scrapped.
