SFT was a German multimedia magazine that first appeared on October 27, 2004.

history

The first edition sold 500,000 times. The name is an abbreviation of the terms " S piele", " F ilme" and " T echnology". Accordingly, topics such as computer and mobile phone games , movies , DVD publications, music, home entertainment ( TV , DVD player , DVD recorder etc.), PC hardware , digital cameras and cell phones are dealt with .

The magazine was published monthly with a DVD magazine, which usually contains two complete feature films . In the beginning, PC games were also put on the DVD. This practice was resumed in 2009. SFT was published by Computec Media . According to IVW , the number of copies sold in the first quarter of 2011 was 102,909 and the print run was 155,333. Editor-in-chief has been Christian Müller since November 1, 2009, who already held this position when it was founded and was meanwhile editor-in-chief at autobild.de .

In 2015, the magazine's website was merged with the PC Games publication published by the same publisher . In 2017, the publisher reported a sold circulation of 36,000 copies, which was reduced to 28,500 copies for 2020.

With the 07/20 issue, the publisher discontinued the magazine at the same time as its sister magazine Widescreen without giving reasons .
