The SFT 200-206 were two-axle tank locomotives of the Società Anonima Ferrovie del Ticino (SFT), which were used on the Como – Varese – Laveno and Saronno – Malnate lines.

They were built in 1883 by the Belgian Couillet . In 1888 Ferrovie Nord Milano (FNM) took over the lines and the machines. They were given the new numbers 201-207 (from 1942: 200-01-07).

With the electrification of the FNM network around 1950, the locomotives were moved to the Milano Cadorna station for shunting , where they were active until the end of the 1960s, when they were decommissioned after protests by residents.

From 1973 to 1974 the 200-05 locomotive was restored and has been used for tourist trains ever since. It is the second oldest operational steam locomotive in Europe after the Austrian Likaon .
