history

The syndicate between WSV Eisenerz and VBV Trofaiach is one of the oldest volleyball syndicates in Austria and played together as VC Eisenstraße in the Styrian regional league in 1985, later as LET (Leoben, Eisenerz, Trofaiach) up to the 2nd Bundesliga and with ET in the Austrian Volley League.

At the 1972 Olympic Games, volleyball was offered to a broad television audience and Wolfgang Meixner decided to offer this sport in physical education at the BORG Eisenstadt. Four years later, in 1976, a team emerged around him that competed in the regional league. The schools in Trofaiach and Leoben also joined the association.

From the 1980s onwards, those responsible began to intensively train and force the school league teams as part of the school's physical education. With former students and non-school players, the club, which was founded out of school to create better structures for top volleyball in the region, was promoted to the Austrian Volley League in the 2001/02 season. With the establishment of a school league for girls, more and more time was invested in women's volleyball, including a volleyball academy for girls.
