The SG 1889 Waldfischbach is a football and handball club from the Rhineland-Palatinate community of Waldfischbach-Burgalben .

Soccer

In 1952, the football department was a founding member of the Southwest Amateur League, today 's Southwest Football Association League . As table fifteenth, however, she rose again immediately. At the moment the club plays in the A-class Pirmasens-Zweibrücken.

Handball

The handball department rose in 2000 to the southwest squadron of the regional handball league . There she reached seventh place in the first season with 32:28 points. In the following season , she finished ninth in the table, but withdrew from the league after the end of the season. She also qualified for the DHB Cup in 2003 . There she lost to HSV Glauchau in the first round with 11:24. Otto Fetser played handball at SG Waldfischbach during his youth. In the meantime, the handball department and that of TV Pirmasens formed the HSG Pirmasens / Waldfischbach gaming community . This was later renamed MSG Pirmasens / Waldfischbach . It was dissolved in March 2015.
