The BB 25150 is a series of multi-system - electric locomotive of the SNCF . It was delivered in three series by MTE ( Matériel de traction électrique ) in 1967 and 1977 .

Power can be supplied via 1.5 kV direct current as well as 25 kV 50 Hz alternating current. The axle formula is Bo'Bo ', which is why the designation BB comes about.

Some of them are now based in Chambéry and are used on the mountain lines to Saint-Gervais and Bourg-Saint-Maurice . The others are mainly deployed in eastern France and are stationed in Thionville , where they are deployed in the direction of Dijon . In 2007, 12 of the original 45 machines were still in use.
