The SV 09 Hofheim is a football club from Hofheim , founded 1909th In 2009 it celebrated its centenary.
history
The association came into being in its current form in 1910 when two Hofheim associations merged. The sports club involved was founded in 1909, and the name also refers to this. Game operations were suspended from 1914 to 1918, as was the case from 1939 to 1945, as the active players had been drafted for military service. The club's first success came in 1929 when it won the A-class championship. In 1961 there was finally promotion to the 2nd amateur league. Between 1969 and 1973 they played in the third-class amateur league Hessen . In 1973 they were relegated after losing 0: 3 to Tied VfR Groß-Gerau in the second decider (the first decider ended 3: 3 afterwards).
