The SV Bilk 13 (officially: Düsseldorfer Spielverein Bilk 13 eV ) was a sports club from the Düsseldorf district of Bilk . The first soccer team played for two years in the highest amateur league in the Lower Rhine region.
history
The club was founded in 1913 as Vorwärts Bilk and changed its name to SV Bilk 13 in 1947 . The club achieved its first sporting successes in the 1930s. In 1931 the Bilker rose to the second-class first district class Berg / Mark at the time. After the end of the Second World War , the team was runner-up in the district class in 1949 and failed in relegation to the state league , at that time the highest amateur league in the Lower Rhine, at SV Beeckerwerth . A year later the league finally succeeded as a champion. After the immediate relegation , the Bilker were even passed into the district class in the following season 1951/52.
In the 1960s things picked up again. After returning to the district class in 1960, the Bilker made it unbeaten the march into the state league in the following season, which was only the second highest amateur league after the introduction of the Niederrhein Association League in 1956. In 1965, the Bilker national league champions were behind Viktoria Wuppertal , before the team was relegated to the district class five years later and never returned to higher divisions.
In 1978, SV Bilk 13 merged with DJK Sparta Bilk, which was founded in 1919, to become DJK Sparta Bilk Düsseldorf , or Sparta Bilk for short . Five years later, the Spielverein Düsseldorf-Hamm, founded in 1949, joined the club.
