The sports club 1911 Haslach im Kinzigtal eV is a German football club based in the small town of Haslach im Kinzigtal in the Ortenau district in Baden-Württemberg .

history

Founded until World War II

The association was founded in November 1911. Due to the outbreak of the First World War , however, gaming operations quickly came to a standstill. It did not start again until February 1919, but the district championship title was won right away, so the team was then also allowed to move up to the A-class . Nothing is known about the time after that until the end of the Second World War .

post war period

After the end of the war, the footballers joined a larger sports club, which the former gymnastics club also joined. In 1948, with the reinforcement of a few players from Mainz, they were promoted to the 2nd amateur league . In the first season you could even position yourself in fifth place. After the players were gone, the team promptly dismounted. The promotion should then soon succeed, after the 1955/56 season even qualification for the promotion round to the 1st Amateur League South Baden . There you were subject to VfB Gaggenau .

Promotion to the 1st amateur league

At the end of the 1960/61 season, the team became champions of the 2nd amateur league. Due to the fact that the respective champions were allowed to advance directly, the Haslachers did not have to take part in a promotion round and thus rose for the first time in the third-class first amateur league at the time. The season 1961/62 should then also be the only one in the third division, with 19:41 points, the team had to go straight back down at the end of the season as bottom of the table. After the 1969/70 season it went from the 2nd amateur league back down to the A-class.

1970s to 1990s

After the 1971/72 season, the return to the 2nd amateur league succeeded. After one season, however, the team had to relegate relatively narrowly, it should have been the last season in this league. From the 1980/81 season, the team belonged to the district league until the end of the 1989/90 season . Then it went down to the district league A South . Surprisingly, there was an upturn in the early 1990s and the team even rose to the state league in the 1991/92 season. In the following years you could establish yourself in the top positions of the national league. But later it went back down to the district league and a little later even to the A-class.

Current time

In the district league A you could then hold on for a few years, but then after the 2005/06 season was relegated to 15th place with only 27 points. Thus the team was allowed to compete in the lowest division in the region, the district league B, in the 2006/07 season. With 44 points only the sixth place was achieved. It was only after the 2009/10 season that the team was able to rise again as champions with 78 points in the district league A. After the 2012/13 season, with 70 points, he finally came second and returned to the district league for the next season. Here the class could be kept with 40 points over the 14th place. The team still plays in this league to this day.
