The SV Kressbronn is a football club from the Württemberg Kressbronn am Bodensee .
history
The club was founded on June 21, 1946. In 1967 the club was promoted to the then third-class amateur league Black Forest-Bodensee . The greatest success in the club's history was the runner-up in 1969, just one point behind VfB Friedrichshafen .
When the amateur league Baden-Württemberg was introduced in 1978, SV Kressbronn was not qualified for the new division, and by taking 14th place at the time, the team was even downgraded to the fifth-class regional league.
Since the 2012/13 season, SV Kressbronn has been back in the eight-class district league Bodensee after being relegated to the district league. In the 2011/12 promotion season under coach Stefan Traut even the double from the regional league championship and the district cup win.
Teams
As a pure football club, SV Kressbronn has two men's teams, an AH team and a large number of youth teams. A women's and some girls' teams also have their home in the club. SV Kressbronn currently has around 500 members.
Venue
SV Kressbronn plays its home games on the sports field in Eichert, which was inaugurated in August 1946.
In May 2016, after two and a half years of construction, the new clubhouse was opened. It replaces the old clubhouse that was built in 1966 and is getting on in years.
