Club life

There are a total of nine different training groups, starting with the “Tadpoles” group for children aged five and over, through various leisure and talent groups, to the competition group and the top team of head trainer Heike Hahn. Provided that the qualification criteria are met, the most talented club swimmers have the opportunity to participate in different training groups at the Rhein-Neckar Olympic base with the federal base trainer Dr. Michael Spikermann to change. The swimming pool of the Olympic base with a 50-meter competition pool is shared by both the base and the club. Every spring, the SV Nikar organizes an international swimming festival at the Olympic base and is co-organizer of the “Heidelbergman” triathlon, which is known beyond the region and is considered to be challenging due to the altitude difference to be overcome on the bike and running route.
