Sabine Becker (born  August 13, 1959 in Karl-Marx-Stadt ) is a former German speed skater . Your home club was the SC Dynamo Berlin and later the Berlin ice skating club .

At the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid she won a silver medal over 1500 meters and a bronze medal over 3000 meters for the German Democratic Republic (GDR). On both routes she had previously won the GDR championships in December 1979, and in the 1980 world championships she was fifth in the all-around competition.

After she withdrew from competitive sports for health reasons, she left the GDR in October 1986 and settled in West Berlin . Two years later she started active training again. At the German Championships in 1989 and 1990, she took a total of four second and one third place on various individual routes and in the all-around competition. Her best international placement after her comeback was a fourth place over 3000 meters at the World Cup opener in November 1989 in Berlin .
