Sabine Hahn (* 1964 ) is a Swiss nurse , nursing scientist and care researcher. She is head of the nursing department, head of applied nursing research & development and chair of the health research commission at the health department of the Bern University of Applied Sciences BFH.

Career

Hahn received her diploma in psychiatric nursing in 1988 at the Psychiatric University Clinic in Zurich . From 2000 to 2003 she studied nursing science at Maastricht University (NL) and graduated with a Master of Science in Health and Nursing. She also received a PhD in Health and Nursing Science from Maastricht University in 2012 .

Hahn has been Head of the Nursing and Applied Research and Development Nursing department in the Health Department of the Bern University of Applied Sciences since 2012.

Current research projects

Hahn is currently (as of 2019) head of research for the Respons 2019 and Respons-Fam 2019 projects, which investigate the quality of life in Swiss nursing homes. She is the overall project manager of the Competence Network Health Workforce CNHW, a competence center for healthcare professionals with which a national strategy is being drawn up to counter the shortage of skilled workers in the healthcare sector.

Hahn is also doing research in the PERoPA study on the subject of aggression in the healthcare sector.

Hahn is a member of the Board of Directors of Spitex Bern.
