Sabine Jaggy

Sabine Jaggy-Kaufmann (* 1952 ) is a Swiss biologist and was director of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences .

biography

Sabine Jaggy studied biology and chemistry at the University of Bern (lic. Phil. Nat.). In 1978 she completed her diploma for higher education and taught as a biology teacher in Lucerne and Solothurn. In 1990 she became the founding rector of the Lucerne Matura School for Adults. In 1995/1996 she was a member of the board of directors of AKAD, Zurich, and in 1996 moved to the Minerva private school in Zurich and Lucerne as director.

From 2001 to 2008 she was the successor to Hans Lütolf as Rector of the HSW Lucerne School of Business . From 2001 to 2003 she completed an MBA course at the University of Zurich . From March 2008 until the end of 2011 she was the director of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences . In January 2012 she emigrated with her husband to Namibia to run a tourist lodge there.

Sabine Jaggy is married, has three children and lived with her family in Gelfingen before emigrating .

From 1987 to 1995, Sabine Jaggy-Kaufmann was a liberal councilor of the Canton of Lucerne . In addition, she was active in several cantonal and national bodies in the education sector.
