Sabine Matejka

Sabine Matejka (born April 28, 1974 in Vienna , Austria ) is an Austrian lawyer . Since November 2017 she has been President of the Association of Austrian Judges .

Life

After graduating from high school , Sabine Matejka first began studying English and history, and she also worked as a tour guide. She completed a law degree as a Magistra. After the court year , she worked at the Center of Legal Competence (CLC) from 2000 , which supported the further development of constitutional structures in Central and Eastern Europe.

In 2004 she received a position at court as a judge candidate, since 2008 she has been a judge . At the District Court of Vienna- Leopoldstadt , she mainly deals with civil, residential and tenancy law cases, and before that she was also a family judge .

She has been a member of the judges' association since 2012, of which she became vice-president in November 2013. Since 2013 she has also been an Austrian delegate to the European and International Judges' Association . On November 23, 2017, she was elected President of the Association of Austrian Judges to succeed Werner Zinkl.
