Sabine Röther-Kirschke
Sabine Röther (* 17th June 1957 in Rostock as Sabine Röther ) is a former German handball player .
The 1.87 meter tall and 80 kilogram heavy Sabine Röther played for SC Empor Rostock .
With the GDR selection , she won bronze at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow . In 1978 she became world champion with this team; she was also in the GDR squad at the 1982 World Cup. In 1979 she was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze.
She scored 441 goals in 132 international matches .
