Sabine Vollmar-Libal

Christa-Eva Sabine Vollmar-Libal (* 1934 in Bielefeld ; † 2015 ) was a German diplomat .

Life

Her husband was the ambassador Michael Libal . Until 1961 she studied law in Tübingen, Paris, Munich and Bonn and passed both state legal examinations. From 1961 to 1963 she worked as an assessor at the Hamm Higher Regional Court. In 1963 she joined the foreign service. After her career examination, she was employed in Rome in 1965. In 1966 she received her doctorate in law from the University of Bonn . From 1969 to 1974 she was employed in Bonn. From 1975 to 1976 she was employed next to the UN headquarters . In the 1976/77 academic year, Dr. Sabine Vollmar-Libal participated in the Advanced Study Program at Harvard University . From 1977 to 1980 she was employed in Moscow . From 1980 to 1988 she was employed in Bonn . From 1988 to 1992 she was deputy ambassador in Rome. From 1992 to 1995 she headed the political department in Bonn. From 1996 to 1999 she was ambassador in Lisbon .
