Sacrament is an American Christian thrash metal band from Folcroft , Pennsylvania that was formed in 1989 and split up in 1994.

history

The band was formed in 1989. The debut album Testimony of Apocalypse followed in 1990 via REX Records . Then guitarist Mike DiDonato left the band and singer Mike Torane was replaced by Rob Wolfe. In 1992 the second album Haunts of Violence followed through REX Records. In 1994 the band broke up. DiDonato later formed the band Fountain of Tears with Sacrament bassist Erik Ney and Believer drummer Joe Daub .

style

The band plays heavy thrash metal that is comparable to the music of bands like Dark Angel and Forbidden . The texts are entirely religious.
