Sadie is a Japanese rock band that was founded in 2005 and belongs to the visual kei style.

biography

Sadie was founded in February 2005 by Mao, Tsurugi, Aki, Mizuki and Sora. According to singer Mao, the band name is derived from the English word sad . In January 2006, drummer Sora left the band and was replaced by Kei in March. Sadie are signed to Face Music and Mijinko Records ( ミ ジ ン コ レ コ ー ド ).

They had their first live appearance on March 18, 2005 at Osaka BIG CAT, when they were the opening band for D, Fatima, Doremidan, shulla and Kra, among others.

On July 27, 2005 her first maxi single Kokui no Shita no Yokubō to, Kunō no Hate ni Mita Hyakkei no Yuritachi ( 黒 衣 の 下 の 欲望 と と 、 苦 悩 の 果 て て に 視 た 百 景 の 百合 達 ) was released, which rose to 200 Piece was limited and sold out quickly.

On December 3 of the same year, Sadie had their first one-man-live called dekiai ~ As a sad matter of fact ~ at the Osaka Muse, on which they presented their single dekiai , which was released a few days later, and the single Oboreru Sakana , which was only available at the concert .

Shortly after Sora left the band in January, Sadie appeared for the first time on a compilation CD called Sawayaka 3-gumi ( さ わ や か 3 組 ) with their song Meisai . The CD, limited to 777 copies, contained only two other songs by the bands Billy and The Pumpkin Head.

In March, shortly after they announced their first EP The Trend Killer , Kei replaced Sora as the group's drummer.

On Sadie's One-Man on May 6, 2006, three days after The Trend Killer was released , visitors had the unique opportunity to purchase the second single Sayonara no Hate ( サ ヨ ナ ラ の 果 て ) , which was only available at one concert was given away.

Over the next two years, Sadie continued to build on their success and kept releasing new CDs before their first album Undead 13 + 2 was released on June 25, 2008 . It contained new recordings of old Sadie songs that were no longer available on CD. The limited version also came with a DVD with the band's previous music videos.

The second album Master of Romance , released on February 25, 2009, was the band's first release that could be purchased through an internet shop worldwide.
