Sadikou Ayo Alao

Sadikou Ayo Alao (* 1943 in Porto-Novo ) is a Beninese lawyer.

Alao is the founder and president of the Groupe d'Études et de Recherches sur la Démocratie et le Développement Economique et Social en Afrique (GERDDES-Afrique), which has existed since 1990, and is the managing director of the Center international de recherche sur le développement (CIRD) organization, President of Gerrdes Bank and a member of the Club of Rome .

In 1973 Alao graduated from law and criminology . Alao studied at the University of Bordeaux and at the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis . He worked as a police chief and as a lecturer in civil and corporate law at the University of Benin. From 1977 he also worked as deputy head of the legal department of the African Development Bank .
