Sadist is a death metal band from Genoa , Italy . The band played technical death metal until 1998 before changing the style to metalcore / crossover with influences of electronic music on their album Lego .
With the self-titled album Sadist , the band returned to technical death metal.
history
The band was formed in 1991. The following year, "Sadist" released a demo that was later re-released as an EP . The music group received a record deal with the Italian music label "Nosferatu". After "Sadist" was not satisfied with the work of the label, however, the label was changed.
On the album Crust more industrial influences were used, which was continued on the next album as a complete style change. After the unsuccessful realignment of the band, the musicians decided to break up the band in 2000. In 2005 "Sadist" reformed again and signed a contract with the Italian label Beyond Productions.
In 2006, Sadist began recording the album Sadist , which was released in 2007. After a tour in Europe, the album Seasons In Silence was released in 2010 .
In 2015, after extensive touring, the album Hyaena was released on Scarlet Records . Sadist finally released the album Spellbound on the same label in 2018 .
At the beginning of 2019, founding member Andy left the band for personal reasons.
