Sagrajas is a district of the city of Badajoz in Extremadura, Spain .

Sagrajas is 185 m above sea level. NN and had 580 inhabitants in 2018. The neighboring districts are Gévora and Novelda del Guadiana . On October 23, 1086 , the battle of Sagrajas between the Almoravid army under Yusuf ibn Tashfin and the Castilian army of knights under King Alfonso VI took place here . of Castile instead. It is better known by its Arabic name as the Battle of Zallaqa .

Bronze Age traces can be found in the Sagrajas-Berzocana group or in the "Torques von Sagrajas" , a Celtic neck ring.
