Sagrajas is a district of the city of Badajoz in Extremadura, Spain .

On October 23, 1086 , the battle of Sagrajas between the Almoravid army under Yusuf ibn Tashfin and the Castilian army of knights under King Alfonso VI took place here . of Castile instead. It is better known by its Arabic name as the Battle of Zallaqa .
