Sehri-Bahlol
Sehri-Bahlol , also called Sahr-i-Bahlol , is a small fortified ruined city not far from the prehistoric Takht-i-Bahi monastery in the Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa . The place is located 70 kilometers from Peshawar .
Sehri-Bahlol is a culturally and historically significant place of Buddhism from the early 1st century and since 1980, like the nearby town of Takht-i-Bahi, has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List. There were Buddha statues in the place. Coins and other artifacts were also found. The name goes back to Sir Bahlol , a well-known religious leader in this area.
A large wall can be seen from the place, which is surrounded by agricultural fields. The farmers often make historical finds in the fields that are beyond archaeological research.
