Sahra Damus

Sahra Damus (* 1982 in Brandenburg an der Havel ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and has been a member of the Brandenburg state parliament since 2019 .

From 2002 to 2008 Damus studied social, cultural and linguistic sciences at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) . Since 2009 she has been working there as a research assistant in a linguistic research project and was elected part-time equal opportunities officer in 2010. From 2014 to 2019 she worked full-time at the university as an equal opportunities officer.

Damus joined Alliance 90 / The Greens in 2013 . In 2014 she was elected to the city council of Frankfurt (Oder), in which she took over the chairmanship of the Bündnis 90 / Grüne-BI urban development / pirates faction in 2018. She successfully stood for re-election as a city councilor in 2019.

Damus moved into the Brandenburg state parliament as a member of the Brandenburg state elections in the third place on the list for the Greens . There she is the parliamentary director of her group.
