Sahuaripa ( German : yellow ant ) is a city in the west of the Mexican state of Sonora . Sahuaripa is at 440 meters and has 4,041 inhabitants (as of 2010). Sahuaripa is the capital of the Municipio Sahuaripa .
Sahuaripa is the end point of the 90 kilometer long I-117 .
history
The first settlers in the area were the Opata . In 1641 missionaries founded the municipality under the name Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles de Sahuaripa .
