Sahuayo FC
Sahuayo FC , also known as Tigres Sahuayo , is a football club from the Mexican city of Sahuayo de Morelos in the state of Michoacán . Its home ground is the Estadio Unidad Deportiva Bicentenario Francisco García Vilchis , which can accommodate 1,000 visitors.
history
The club was founded on April 28, 2014 with the support of the UANL Tigres first division club and acts as their farm team . The first team of Sahuayo FC has been represented in the Liga de Nuevos Talentos of the third-rate Segunda División since the 2014/15 season .
The team achieved their greatest success so far by winning the 2015 Clausura , the second round tournament of the 2014/15 season. On the way to this triumph, the Tigres Sahuayo sat in the quarter-finals against the Patriotas de Córdoba (1: 1 and 0: 0) in the quarter-finals due to the away goals rule , in the semi-finals against Selva Cañera (3: 0 and 0: 1) and in the final after penalties against Atlético San Luis . The overall season finale against the Apertura 2014 champion, Mineros de Fresnillo , held at the end of the 2014/15 season , was lost on penalties.
