Mineros de Fresnillo FC is a football club from the Mexican city ​​of Fresnillo in the state of Zacatecas . Its home ground is the Unidad Deportiva Minera Fresnillo , which can accommodate 2,500 visitors.

history

The team of the club, founded in 2007, initially played in the fourth-class Tercera División and has been represented in the Liga de Nuevos Talentos of the third-class Segunda División since the 2013/14 season .

The team achieved their greatest success so far in the Apertura 2014, the first round tournament of the 2014/15 season. After a difficult win against Topos de Reynosa in the quarter-finals (2: 1 and 1: 1) and a scoring comparison with Atlético San Luis in the semi-finals (3: 0 and 3: 5), the Mineros sat in the final with 5: 0 and 2-0 clearly against Selva Cañera and won their first title.
