Most of the techniques in kata are performed from a close, close combat position. That would reinforce the legend of the development of the kata. Often attack and defense are done with the same hand. There are many circular motions that relate to Chinese origins. The kata is important for practicing self-defense skills . In it some important points from the Kyūsho Jitsu are taken up and its integration into the training is taught.
