Sailaja Pujari

Sailaja Pujari (born June 12, 1982 ) is a former Indian weightlifter .

Career

Pujari won the gold medal in the class up to 75 kg at the 2002 Commonwealth Games . At the Asian Games that year she was fifth. In 2005 she won silver at the Asian Championships and finished ninth at the World Championships . Shortly before the 2006 Commonwealth Games , she was tested positive in a doping control and banned for two years. After that, Pujari reached fifth place at the 2008 Asian Championships . In 2009 she was tested positive for stanozolol during a training check and was banned for life.
