Saint David (St. Vincent and the Grenadines)

Saint David is an administrative unit ( Parish ) in the island state of St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the Caribbean . It is the second largest Parish in terms of land area (80 km² - 31 mi²), but was estimated to have only 6,700 inhabitants in 2000. The main town is Chateaubelair .

geography

The Parish stretches on the north half of the west coast, bordering St. Patrick to the south and Charlotte to the east . With the mountains La Soufrière (1234 m) and Richmond Peak (1033 m) the highest peaks of the state are in the Parish. The island Chateaubelair Iceland is part of the Parish.
