Saitō Yoshitatsu
Saitō Yoshitatsu ( Japanese斎 藤 義龍 * 1527 ; † 1561 ) was from 1556 to 1561 daimyo of Mino and head of the Saitō family .
Life
Saitō Yoshitatsu was the eldest son of Saitō Dōsan , the ruler of Mino. But there is also the unconfirmed theory that Yoshitatsu was actually the son of Toki Yorinari . In 1556 Saitō Yoshitatsu rebelled against Saitō Dōsan and killed him in a battle. He then reigned in Mino, but over the next few years was repeatedly confronted with attacks by his brother-in-law, Oda Nobunaga . Saitō Yoshitatsu died of illness in 1561 and was inherited by his son Tatsuoki.
