Saitual is a city in the Indian state of Mizoram .
The city is part of the Aizawl district . Saitual has town status . The city is divided into 4 wards . On the cut-off date of the 2011 census it had 11,619 inhabitants, of whom 5,727 were men and 5,892 were women. Christians make up the majority of the city's population with a share of over 98%. The literacy rate in 2011 was 97.4%, well above the national average. 98.2% of the population belong to the Scheduled Tribes .
The city was founded in 1912 as a Christian settlement by a converted tribesman.
