Joseph Anton von Roll zu Bernau (* 1681 at Bernau Castle ; † October 25, 1768 ) was Privy Councilor and Canon in Worms and Münster .

Life

Joseph Anton von Roll came from the von Roll noble family . He was the son of Johann Walter von Roll zu Bernau and his wife Maria Ursula von Roggenbach. His brothers Johann Baptist and Ignaz were colonel stables in the Electorate of Cologne . So he was very much appreciated by the elector . In Worms in 1722 he was awarded a cathedral sign . Here he was in 1732 dean and four years later provost . Under Bishop Franz Georg von Schönborn he was governor of the Worms Monastery . In 1734 he was awarded by papal encouragement a Dompräbende in Münster , which he in 1742 in favor of the canon Clemens August von Korff waived in exchange for an annual pension. Joseph Anton was the capitular of the knight's monastery in Odenheim .
