Salon de Artistas Colombianos
The Salón de Artistas Colombianos ( German : Salon of Colombian Artists) is a cultural event in Colombia with a wide range. It takes place annually between August 5th and September 12th and has two main categories: a national event and regional competitions.
The Salón first took place in 1931 under the presidency of Enrique Olaya Herrera , whose administration wanted to create a public gallery. In 1931 the event took place in the Parque de la Independencia in Bogotá .
